Am I wrong in saying some of these sound like bad karaoke?

I’m just not sure why these covers are necessary. There’s nothing really new in them, so they just suffer by comparison to the originals. It’s kinda seems like when Sammy posts his covers – a desperate attempt to cash in on the VH legacy. I will say this though: Dave’s singing on these is much better than it has been since 2007. In some ways, it makes me angry that he destroyed these songs for 15 years with his strained screeching and reaching for notes that were never part of the originals. My .02
