Another one I can’t believe has never been posted here.

This was the lowest point of his career. In 1988 he played the Forum and Irvine Meadows (though from what I understand the tour was carried by Poison) and his single show at Irvine Meadows in 1991 was cancelled due to poor tickets so his first hometown show in 6 years was at the newly opened House Of Blues, was not sold out, in fact my friend bought a ticket on the street for $5.

It was broadcast on the radio, this is obviously not the best possible quality, likely recorded and copied on a boombox on normal bias tapes but I have seen nothing better. No DAT sources, no commercial bootlegs.

Enjoy, and if you have something better, put it up.

Thanks Jason. Guess this should probably be moved to the “Unofficial Live Audio Recordings” forum.

Thanks for the info. The uploader states June 29 as the correct date. I believe this is incorrect as DLR was playing Kelseyville on June 29 and the author of this review here says that the gig took place on a Tuesday night. June 28 was a Tuesday:

Hmm … well thanks to CBG’s videos of both Poison and DLR from the 1988 tour – I would say both bands rocked the house.

I had tickets to see Roth at Kelseyville on June 28th.
But he switched the House of Blues date, with the Kelseyville date.
I went and saw him on the 29th.
I filmed it, but was using a “Sharp View Cam”, due to being unfamiliar with it,
I ended up placing the built inn mic, in to my crotch. so it basically has has TERRIBLE (muffled) audio.

Cant agree more that this was a low point for DLR.. While he eventually bounced back years later IMO with DLR Band record the “Filthy Mouth” effort is nearly unlistenable for me.
