Twitter. The fact that ANYTHING has changed seems interesting to me. And the website doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be Dave, but someone has it and it’s locked out for now, so only time will tell.

Too bad Dave’s people didn’t hire my company to do his website!!! Now that would have been cool!

Who knows?! We do know the EEAS reunion thing is supposed to be happing at some point, but with the other members out touring, I don’t think that’s happening soon. There was also the talk of the DLR/John 5 album that was already done, so maybe that is coming? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Do you think it’s likely he will release a non-VH album? What do you guys think? If you had to guess?

If I had to guess – Dave does a short but successful tour with the EEAS Band. Maybe 10-15 shows, tops. Riding that wave he releases the album with John5 and they do a short but successful tour. After that, Dave can do 1 more round in 2018 with VH bros & Mike – and only with Mike – for the 40th anniversary of VH I and they call it a day.

If I had to guess, Dave does a 1 off show with EEAS band. I believe Fletch somewhat got that info out of Greg B. at NAMM that it would be 1 show. It was talked about elsewhere that February 5th of 2015 was when Tokyo Dome, the TV appearances and tour were announced. Could be that as of February 5 2016 Dave’s contract or maybe even a non compete claus is up and that is the reason for his online profile coming back to light. If Dave does release that album with John 5 than in my opinion it would mean he isn’t doing anything with VH in the near future. However if that presumption is true that Dave would have signed a contract with stipulations that he would not do any self promoting or release anything non Van Halen than I can’t see any situation where Sam would come back with a contract like that. If Van Halen Inc. made Dave do that there is no reason to think they wouldn’t demand the same of Sam.

What about Eds old saying. You cant be in two bands at once…

I got the feeling from Dave with some of his speeches at the end of the 2015 Tour like he was saying farewell..

Wonder if anything revealed in this Sammy interview…

Billy Sheehan has also confirmed a few times that the EEAS reunion would be happening.

IF VH were to do ANYTHING in the future, the only thing that I believe would be successful would be a reunion with Hagar and Mike. Wolf is getting ready to drop his solo CD and I presume he is still involved with Tremonti. As much as I don’t like Hagar, I would like to get another new album out of Ed and if that means Hagar is on it, so be it. In a perfect world, they could hire a lyricist or something, but I’m sure Hagar wouldn’t go for that. There are a lot of people who do like that era and who enjoy his lyrics, so I think it would be relatively successful.

You know, it would be cool to see Dave playing songs from his entire career, doing some live shows, just a relaxed affair. But of course the dream for me is to see Steve Vai and Dave play. Vai has been one of my faves for a long time.
