So, Guitard sent me a drop box link for the VH blu ray he has… I have the free drop box with limited space. That didn’t work for the large file of the blu ray. I tried to just do a normal download but then it still says the zip file is too large. Anyone have this same issue? What else can I try? Thanks all!

I clicked on the BDMV folder which revealed eight folders and two seperate files.
I then downloaded the contents of each of these eight folders seperately as zip files except for the “STREAM” folder which contains four files (including the large 23GB file). These four I downloaded seperately and that worked fine for me.

may need to install and have the folder on you HD then you can grab it..! instead of a direct DL….

Select save to my dropbox. It will say you dont have enough room but it will download it to your dropbox folder on your computer just move it to another folder to free up your DB folder once its done

Yes this definitely works…. you will see a red X over your Dropbox icon…. but the files will still download to your computer.

Using the Dropbox software to download to your computer will work flawlessly every time.

Just ignore the message that you need more space for your Dropbox account, as soon as the Blu-ray is on your computer, move it out of the Dropbox folder on your computer, and delete the Blu-ray from your Dropbox account.

I was able to download the entire Blu-ray file in just a couple of hours using a free account.

It’s supposed to. I haven’t dl’d huge blu-ray files, but for my ordinary work stuff it resumes like a pro. Seamless, really. Dropbox is the best.

I installed the free version of Dropbox but I had trouble using it, I must be getting old. I decided to download the files the normal way and the main file failed to download while I was asleep. I tried to use Dropbox but it keeps saying the file is too large to download.

Did you set up an account? What went wrong with it? Selecting save to my dropbox is literally the easiest way to download from dropbox. It will tell you that you are out of space in your dropbox account and it will say something about upgrading but you can ignore that just let it synch to you dropbox folder. It’ll do it.

Now if you are out of space on your harddrive you are never going to download it no matter what the method

yeah it’s almost too easy…I think it took me a while to figure it out but it’s awesome, I wish they had a lower cost option, the free is nice but limiting.

I got Mediafire for $20US for the first year. Dropbox is $12.99AU per month according to the website. When I clicked on the upgrade in the program, it goes to a page that says it’s $6.49AU per month for Dropbox Basic+ 100GB.

I am noticing that been logged in and transferring the files in Dropbox is quicker to download than if I was just to download the files from Dropbox.

I signed up for the 100GB account (I think it was $99 USD for a year). But they gave me a free upgrade to 1TB at some point – so ten times as much upload space.

Is there a way to see the progress of the downloading instead of moving the mouse pointer over the icon in the system tray?
