This just popped up. Its a Dutch TV tribute to Van Halen. Obviously all in Dutch but there is amazing footage of a Ed and Al interview backstage and Ed tapping on the black headstock version of Franky, pre Floyd. I’m only 10 minutes in and its awesome

I just finished watching all of this. The rest is just basic VH film clips and Ed jamming at the Les Paul gig in 88, but the 79 backstage stuff is gold…

i thought that this clip was part of a documentary that Van-Halen made around 1980 with a german producer if i remember correctly but it never came out because it was too hard core.obviously it is not part of it but is there anyone who knows anything about this documentary?
