Hey guys what would be a easy program to burn stuff from Youtube and other places straight to DVD ?
I don’t have a lot of time with Family life just need a quick & easy program….
Is there one were files can be dragged over to burning program?

I very keen to get this below Alter Bridge concert onto a dvd….

Unfortunately, as far as I know, it’s a tedious and multi-step process.
a) Download the video from the Internet to your computer
b) Re-encode the video & audio to DVD or BluRay standards
c) Burn the results to physical media

If there’s a better/easier way, such as just dragging the files into a burn program and pressing ‘Go’, that results in a quality product, I’m interesting in learning about it too.

On a Mac, Roxio’s Toast will do it just by drag & drop. Of course, the quality will take a hit since the material has to be re-encoded, but it can do all of the work automatically. On the Windows side, Roxio also makes Easy CD & DVD Burning and Creator NXT5, which probably work in a similar fashion:

X to DVD is extremely simple and yet to ever have a problem

I’ve wasted several days last week and this weekend trying to get a WebM (VP9) video into an acceptable format for burning to BluRay. Dealing with 6+ hour conversion and render times, program crashes… I eventually gave up.

I don’t know of a program that’s easier to use than DVD Flick. It’s an open source program also – so it’s truly free (you can donate if you wish) and it won’t try to install any additional bullshit on your system when you install it. I think it’s only good for DVDs though – not blu-rays.
