I think this is the the first time I actually saw them speaking in Dutch. I remember a video from ’95 in Holland where that sat down to do an interview at a radio station and someone (Eddie, Al, or the DJ) asked if the others wanted to do it in English or in Dutch and they ended up doing it in English. I kind of doubt they get much practice speaking Dutch in their day-to-day lives in the US.

Short of actually studying it formally, he’d have to have been exposed to it on a regular basis. Obviously, the only time that might have happened is when Ed and Al were together speaking in Dutch. I know Sam has made comments about Ed and Al at times speaking in Dutch. So presumably, Wolf has heard his dad and uncle conversing in Dutch at times. But unless they actually got Wolf involved in the conversations – I doubt he picked up very much of the language. And since Ed and Al speak English at a native level – I doubt they did that.

It would be an interesting question to pose to Wolf though.

i got an interview at 5150 for about 15 mins where they speak dutch and and i think it’s around 1996,i have to take a look at it tommorow

How good would it be to get a tour of 5150?
A lot of those reporters probably have no interest in VH.
Spoke to a Aussie reporter who had been in there.
