Does the interviewer ask him about hearing Les Paul material around 1:55 or so, and Ed says, “No, I’ve never heard any of his music” ????

Not that I’m surprised by his response, necessarily, but based on the kudos Eddie gives him in that HBO special, I guess I do find the response interesting.

Eddie praised Les Paul for his technological contributions (i.e. multi-track recording and the “black box”), but he never said anything about his playing.
