I guess everybody just missed this?? –

Q: Will there ever be another Van Halen studio album?

A: After this touring cycle, we will probably hunker down and do a studio record. We certainly have enough material. It is a matter of timing and getting everybody together. That’s the only way it can be done.

That sounds pretty exciting to me!!!

Imagine if Ed had a full blown recording studio in his backyard – They could hammer out albums in no time!

Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings.

Yeah but the only way they got the last album recorded was to go to another studio. Maybe Dave didn’t feel comfortable at 5150 but not sure the real reason. I don’t care how they do it. I’ll even go clean out my garage and let them set up in there!!!

chrisc: My friends, enjoy the ride while it lasts, who knows when it can all end.
There may be a day when the release the “lost” demos or Oakland 81, but for now, be happy with what they give us, it could always be 99-04 again when we got nothing!

I agree. Just accept & appreciate. Many bands we know may not be touring in 10 years (Rolling Stones, Robert Plant,

Aerosmith, etc.) These ARE the good ‘ol days. I like Ed’s final quote, “Maybe 10 years from now stuff off of “A Different Kind

of Truth” will be considered classic and people will want to hear those.” Looking forward to World Tour 2025.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

I know where you’re coming from – but this is probably the tamest VH forum on the net

chrisc: It’s been a long time since I have really posted anything here, to be honest I got turned off by the the negativity that tends to go on here, I know it’s not everyone. This post is a perfect example, I loved reading the interview and how excited was I to hear that Ed wants to play Drop Dead Legs. But the posts after are just killing him.The guy certainly has not been the best to his fans over the years, but he really seems to be trying, but no matter what he does, it’s just not good enough, and probably never will be.

I have been a fan of VH since the 70′s and have seen them close to 40 times, whatever they give us now to me is just gravy. I don’t expect that they will perform my dream setlist or bring Mikey back into the band, so when I see that they are playing I go.Ed, Al and Wolfie sound great on the live cd, and honestly I never thought I would hear certain songs live, Women in Love is the perfect example. And why should they put out another new album, so everyone can say how terrible it is?My friends, enjoy the ride while it lasts, who knows when it can all end.

Very, very well said, Chris. …And, yes, this is the tamest site. We’re all pretty cool here. …Just passionate fans with occasional constructively critical thoughts out loud.

I have always gravitated to this site because of the willingness of the members to trade with others, especially back in the day when we did everything on discs. I really stay away from the other sites because of the negativity. I think the vast majority of us here love VH and always want the best from the them. I am very excited about this tour, it seems that they really seem to be enjoying the ride themselves.
