What’s everyone thoughts on the album..?
I love the dark edgy feel to it..
Always thought SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN THE PARK would be a great intro for the band to walk out onto the stage..
So many great songs on this album..

Mean Street intro punches you in the face

Mean Street is my all-time favorite VH tune. The first 3 songs are a kick-ass way to start an album, that’s for sure! Of course Unchained is a favorite too (and my ringtone for non-wife calls), but the one song I always go back to and really enjoy is So This is Love. With the bass line and sass it’s a lot different than the rest of album and a really fun song. And no one does fun songs better than Van Halen.

Can’t say that I ever really cared for Sunday Afternoon or even One Foot Out the Door for that matter, but they totally complete the vibe of the album and I never skip over them when they’re on.

I bought tix a month before Fair Warning came out.

Needless to say, my excitement level doubled when I heard the album.

It still holds up today.

Best album… best tour.

Wish I was old enough to see it.

Yeah I remember that. I was only 8 years old when FW hit but I sure remember the tunes. Unchained was just killer.

Loved hearing HAIL on the 2012-13 Tour.
Next tour SINNERS SWING & DIRTY MOVIES..

Yeah I loved hearing HAIL too. It was such a throwback tune and a good one to boot. I also would love to hear dirty movies too. That is one I never understood why they didn’t play live. Guess the catalogue was getting too big by then and they had to pick and chose at that point.
2012 tour having wolf motivate Ed really allowed for some kick ass tunes to be resurrected again. HAIL, HEH, GGB, TFB and many others. I’d still love to see wolf talk Ed into doing summer nights, 5150, AFU, good enough, don’t tell me and stuff like that. I don’t care if Dave wants to sing it or not. Just do it instrumental. But wait this is about Fair Warning. 1981 seems just like yesterday man.

That would be awesome, but Dirty Movies would be a little tough to play live with only one guitarist. AWESOME song though.

It seems like very few bands these days take any chances or do anything off script. A little five minute jam session where anything goes and that’s different every show would really be cool – and I’m sure it’s something Ed, Al, & Wolf could easily pull off. But I don’t see it happening … unfortunately.

They could play it but just have ed play the slide part or just hit the power cords and as long as wolf is holding down a nice thumping bass line it’d sound good I think.
