I was wondering if any of you would be interested in playing fantasy baseball?

For the past couple of years we have done fantasy football which has been a blast and was wondering if maybe starting a fantasy baseball league and hope we can make it an annual thing?

We can set it like football and have an automated draft and make it 10 teams?

I can set it up to be NL/AL?Or make it really tough with only AL? Or NL?

H2H? Std Roto?

Would there be any interest?

I personally don’t have time to do a draft which is why I haven’t played in several years but I just thought it would be fun doing it this way so you can build your fantasy team like we do in football.

I have never played before (built-in excuse when I come last), but I would be interested.

I also don’t have time to do a draft, so an automated draft would suit me.

I follow the NL much more closely (Dodger fan), but a NL/AL would be fine with me.

I thought I was the only Dodger fan here.. I bleed Dodger blue!
If I can’t get 10 teams I can’t create a VHT league.. So if anybody else want to join us?

I can still create a league and we can invite friends… This is a good way to learn what to do in a league if you have never played before… I use to play a whole bunch in the 90′s when it was a Std Roto… I finished in 2nd a few times but most of the times I’d finish in the middle of the pack.

I took a 10+ year break and my friends talked me into joining into their league which is H2H and it was a whole lotta fun but I really put so much into it and dominated the league and when the week of the championship came around my team lost 2 starting pitchers and my stud player to injury.

Like our football league it will be an automated draft so it forces you to build a team by trades or free agency..The good thing about H2H you set your line up once (the league I played) in the beginning of week and that was the team you played the entire week. So no need to do line up change day after day.

Anybody interested in our 1st annal fantasy baseball league???

I am thinking that as bad as last year was for the Dodgers (Kemp and Kershaw excepted), this year will be even worse. Nevertheless, hopefully new owners will right the wrongs of the last few years.

How many teams are you a fan of??? I’m surprised you haven’t sprained an ankle jumping from each bandwagon

I also think the DBacks are going to have a good team and could win the west.. I just hope the Dodgers get an owner who knows baseball.. I miss the O’Malley’s and hope they will buy the Dodgers but the parking lot attendant McCourt is going to drag the sale because he can’t let go.

Take it easy there, my “west coast” steeler fan friend….

I support all my AZ teams…but we haven’t always had baseball, football and hockey here. My Dad is from Minnesota. And, when I was young…all the Dodgers games were broadcast on Phoenix radio (Vin Scully is da man!). So, growing up it was all Dodgers, Vikings, Twins…and Phx Suns in my household. I had no choice, I guess. LOL…
