Was watching a movie recently. There is a pair of bumbling crooks in it, one a lead singer, and the other a bass player. They are going to use money from the robbery to buy a tour bus, so they can go on tour. Anyway, they get into the shop to steal the item of value, and while doing so, they have a conversation about who the better singer for Van Halen is/was. All three singers are mentioned, but the disagreement is only between Gary and Sammy. IIRC the bass player takes the side of Gary, and the lead singer character takes the side of Sammy. Of course it degrades into nonsense, eventually ending with the claim that Gary could beat Sammy in a kung-fu fight.

Sounds like an awful movie.
