SAMMY & THE WABOS
For almost forty years, Sammy Hagar has been one of rock music’s most dynamic and prolific artists. From breaking into the industry with the seminal hard rock band Montrose to his multiplatinum solo career to his ride as the front man of Van Halen, the “Red Rocker” has set the tone for some of the greatest rock anthems ever written with songs like “I Can’t Drive 55,” “Right Now,” and “Why Can’t This Be Love.” He’s earned the highest respect of the music industry with a Grammy Award and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Van Halen and is currently on his fourth platinum run with the super group Chickenfoot. Along his journey, Hagar has also become a dedicated philanthropist, a New York Times best-selling author and auspicious entrepreneur. Sammy’s band, affectionately know as the Wabos, formed in the winter of 1997. Having completed his first solo recording, Marching To Mars, after his departure from Van Halen in 1996, Sammy recruited long time friend and drummer David Lauser and keyboardist, Jesse Harms, to be part of the line up for the his new post Van Hagar band. The Wabos are David Lauser (drums), Mona (bass and vocals) and Vic Johnson ( guitar and vocals).

Yeah I posted a clip of I Can’t Drive 55 from Moondance but it didn’t appear to work. I think Sammy’s birthday bashes are shown on AXS TV. cabojohnny5150, is Moondance what you were thinking of?

Anyways, I just wanted to say that I’ve known about the Liza concert for quite a while but I didn’t know that it was going to be a PPV over the internet! Why doesn’t anybody tell me these things?
