I found something today by accident.

A record store online has the Hagar era CDs, minus “L:RHRN”, available in mini-LP paper sleeve format and sold individually for $30.99 each. The description states they’re from Japan, and the photos on their website show each one with an Obi strip.

This is the item description for OU812 as an example:

“2023 Remaster : High Resolution 96kHz/24bit Sound Converted to 88.2kHz/24bit) w/Mini LP Type Paper Sleeve Cover (2023 Analog Box Set LP Type) + Obi (Japan 1st Press Type), Inner Bag, Lyrics, Japan Original Insert (Japanese Exclusive Mini LP MQA-CD Release – Playable on All CD Players) – WPCR-18689 (Japanese Official Release).”

No extra tracks or bonus anything. Despite the year 2023 being listed, I did some research and it shows they were all released in September 2024.

Funny thing is, I don’t recall hearing or reading about these being made available at all in 2024.

Ordering these through a Japanese site was far more affordable than ordering through a U.S. site, and that’s including shipping. I saved close $50.
