I stumbled upon this by accident – the first ten minutes are almost all about Van Halen. At 16:30 there is some talk about DLR. And then there are various snippets here and there that are VH related. At 32:40 Howard brings up Sammy’s bitterness toward Ed. At 45:15 Howard gets into Val’s waxing practices — spoiler alert: hardwood floors is the word.

Valerie is very interesting, I think her interviews are better than Eddie’s, Dave’s or Sammy’s. I may be in the minority but I’d rather listen to an interview with her than either of the other guys. The only other person I like to hear interviewed is Mikey. Again I’m probably in the minority.

Anytime you can listen to a pretty lady talk about Van Halen from an insider’s perspective – and she also talks about waxing her snatch… you just can’t beat that.

I would always watch for and seek out any kind of media appearance or interview with Val, because I KNEW there would be at least a small mention of Van Halen. Funny though of all the hours and hours of EVH interviews I have amassed over the ages there was almost NO mention of Val!

I’m with you on Mikey interviews, Frank. Maybe one day he will write a book.
