My guess is that it is Trunk talking out his ass. Not for nothing but from what I’ve seen on his show he is a Sammy suck up and always disses the current VH line up. He does like the music of the first 6 albums but he doesn’t have many good things to say about them now.

The guy on the couch is Roman Glick, Jackyl’s bass player. He used to be in Brother Cain, one of the better bands to come out of the 90s. He also sounds drunk off his ass.

I don’t think this year will be the last Van Halen tour ever. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is the last tour with Dave. This is not what I want, but some of his behavior is reminiscent to ’84. His interest in making movies again and making public comments about wanting Mike back, and tour dates that apparently don’t exist, can’t be weighing in his favor. Not to mention the diminishing vocal capabilities. Hopefully I’m just reading too much into it and overly critical. Time will tell I guess. Wait and see what happens. I just hope a lot of boots come from the Japan shows just in case.

I think we might see Sammy work with VH again in the future.May be live again but not unfortunately MIKE.
I listened and watched 08 DVD cd Roth was singing so much better then.And nearly all the words.

If and when this version of VH is said and done, I think that will be it. Can’t see Sammy being asked back at all.

You cant be swapping lead singers every few years… It would become a joke. I think Ed would be happy in retirement. It would be a great time for him to go through the vaults.

Having said that, I hope VH go for some time yet…

I think Dave needs to spend more time working on his voice, and less time practicing dance moves. I don’t know if Dave’s ego will allow him to retire gracefully, and I don’t see the band ever firing him. If the band continues, it will have to be with Dave’s blessing, or Ed will just retire. I don’t think Ed or Al want to end Van Halen, after all the years of negative press regarding singers, with firing Dave and bringing someone else on.

I would love if Dave could get back his voice from ’08. I have never heard him talk about a vocal coach. Maybe, he should starting working with one.
