I saw Priest last night at The Paramount Theater on Long Island. This band still sounds great and Halford was in great voice. I can’t believe they are all in their 60′s, except for Richie Faulkner, who is in his early 30′s. Halford came out with a walking stick but was discarded after the first song. They played for about 1 hour 45 minutes, and they sounded great. Redeemer of Souls is a great album. The place was small and it was beyond loud..my ears are still ringing.

My buddies caught them in Vegas last month and said the same thing. Still rockin!

I’ll be seeing them this coming Tuesday. It’s my first time even though I bought my first Priest album in ’79. Really looking forward to it.

Agreed, don’t know how Halford’s voice can still sound so good but it sure does. Miss KK but the band does sound great.

Saw them in Ohio at the Horse shoe casino this summer. One of the best shows I have been too. The are at their best!

Is the walking stick a prop for Halford when he first comes out? Also, Rob wears these heavy looking jackets and gloves on his hands. Are the gloves just a stage prop? Is he OK health wise?

His walking stick is not a prop , he had back surgery a few years ago and ended up in a wheelchair for a short time I …. more here from the story

Thanks for the update…He didn’t use it after he walked out at the beginning of the show. I guess when he went backstage during the show, which he did numerous times, was for a slight wardrobe change and maybe to sit down and relax. His voice was incredible…
