I may be in the minority, but I love this album…to me, it’s one of their best. I’m listening to it as we speak, and it’s a great album. Of course, back in 1981 when it came out, I hated it. I was expecting a movie to come out. Watching them on “Friday’s” back then perform The Oath, World Without Heroe’s and I was great back then. It has become one of my favorite KISS albums…along with Creatures of the Night.

Really? I remember when the album came out not really listening to it. I talked with a Kiss freak and he said it was probably just to theatrical for most people. He said it was technically probably some of their best playing. I don’t know about that. I decided to give it another listen, after reading your comments. It really ain’t doin’ much for me but maybe I’ll listen to it again and just give it a chance.

It was just “different”…we had Unmasked and Dynasty just prior to this and it just caught us by surprise. After The Oath, which started the album back then, it took a very different turn. I remember being in my room and calling my friend up and telling him it’s a soundtrack to a movie, and that’s why it sounds like this.

I remember buying the vinyl when it first came out. It was different, but still good for what it was.

What freaked my freak was the band’s new look. Paul with his ‘Let’s Get Physical’ headband

and Gene’s shorter looking hair.
