Well, that’s not entirely true. Gene didn’t bring Templeman and Ostin down to see them. Gene’s attempt to make them, “Daddy Long Legs” flopped. I don’t think there was ever any direct relationship between Gene doing his demo with them and the WB guys hearing about them and going to see them. If I recall correctly, weren’t the label guys there to see “The Boyz” (w/George Lynch of future Dokken fame), but VH opened for them and ended up getting the deal? There have been so many stories about that I get them all mixed up these days. LOL
