I’m saying no way Ed goes back to that design. If you want one, get an Axis… IMO these are the best of the EVH branded guitars ever built. Mine get better every year.

Have you played one? What a killer sounding and playing instrument.. I recently played an Axis at a local shop and it needed a set up – bad.. it felt cheap and junky… my EBMM EVH feels like a tank..

The Peavey Wolfs have Quilt tops on some of the older ones.. they’re rare and hard to find, but out there. The new Fender EVH Wolfs had Quilt tops until they became too expensive to source.. Here’s a nice one:
Slap a 5150 decal on the bottom and you’re good to go.

ron(11508) | sickman: I received the scarf in the mail yesterday. Over all it was a good buy. It seems to be fleece and is plenty long enough. It’s not a brand new Oakland Scarf right here, yeahhh…. but it is pretty cool. The black is pretty faded on the front and the flip side is a red white and grey striped pattern.

I bought my EBMM EVH back in 93/94 without ever playing one.. you have to trust that it’s a quality instrument and have a good local set-up guy.

I got mine in ’95 the same way. I ordered it from Guitar Center in Chicago sight unseen. Just told the salesman what color I wanted and they ended up getting one in from the LA Guitar Center. Shipped it to my house. Great instrument! I’ve been playing that thing for twenty years and it still plays amazing.
