Molten lava, Nicotine, blood, piss, vinegar, Jack Daniels, Red Bull, steroids, plutonium and nitro glycerin have all been added… in abundance to everything you loved about Cato’s Napalm Up You Ass, JasonA’s DLR Media comps. and past “official” releases. They’ve all been transformed into one of the most professional-looking amateur VH titles you’re ever going to see! And that’s just the first title release!
Remember how disappointed you might’ve been when you watched WB’s VH and DLR “official” compilation releases because they were incomplete? Remember watching every single version of the Showtime broadcast of the US Festival (specifically Metal Day), in addition to the raw complete show video, and having it look like garbage, sound like garbage, having the ending be glitch-ridden, having it be incomplete, having Italian overdubs, having unnecessary and distracting network watermarks, etc.? Those days are over.
This particular title is far from perfect: no menus (sorry, Dokkendude – too much work) and any and all original glitches, imperfections, damage, etc. may still be there but, in some cases, it’s actually added to the integrity of the footage. Can you imagine watching a pristine copy of the European Loss of Control lip sync? I can’t… but I can get used to hearing the Tora! Tora! intro in its high fidelity entirety with it (see preview)! Also, all the releases are classic VH/Dave-centric.
If VH/DLR was ever going to release a complete video history retrospective(s), this is about as close to what it would look like as you can get, boys. Trust me. Enjoy!

This may be the greatest thing since sliced bread but it may be a whole lot of nothing. There was a video in the first post of this thread; that really showed nothing, various Van Halen images with various Van Halen (or Van Halen related) audio; but really when you get down to it, the video showed … a whole lot of nothing. Then a few posts later was some flowery words but again not a lot of details and not a lot of specifics. Yea, let’s all get excited about something we know nothing about. As I said, this may be great or it may be another turd … based on this thread there is no way of knowing. I’m back to … yawn …

Thank you for your comments, Frank, and it’s nice to see you’re paying attention. I strongly encourage EVERYONE’s comments, good or perceived bad. Once this title gets to those who want a copy, I’d like reviews to be posted too. If you think it sucks, say so and enjoy your new drink coaster.

Word of explanation on the vague nature of the teaser: It was uploaded to YouTube. You know, the YouTube that likes to block stuff? They didn’t block it. Mission accomplished.
