A new clip from the film has been released which contains archive audio of Rhoads discussing his six-string influences, as well as an exploration of the “cross-town rivalry” he had with Eddie Van Halen.

It’s all speculation…IMO. So eddie and dave when to always see QR but Randy never went to see VH… Uh huh…..It would have been wonderful to see Randy grow as a player but it did not happen and EVH did what EVH would have done either way, but again this is my opinion.

Watched it tonight. There isn’t much they can really say about a guy whose career lasted four years. His Quiet Riot years were mediocre, at best. His solos in Quiet Riot carried over into his years with Ozzy and his passion exploded in his writing between Blizzard and Diary. It’s so sad that his life and story were cut short, but what Randy gave to the rock guitar world is immeasurable. His studio library gave us four albums, with two classics and a very limited catalog of greatness on tape. He left us before he could truly display his genius. I was never a big fan of his Quiet Riot catalog, but I heard some touches of genius here and there. Blizzard and Diary are just mastery. He evolved so quickly and completely in such a short period of time. I loved watching this chronology of his rise as told by HIS people. HIS friends. Beautiful. RIP RR. A true Rock God.
