St. Paul, Minn. — Substitute Morning Show host John Munson felt like rocking out to some Van Halen this morning. John was so excited about Van Halen when he was growing up that he actually brought this record to school to show off to his friends.

I remember buying that LP and cassette. Wore the cassette out by weeks end. Absolutley love that record, one of my all time favorites. Still had the feel of a spontaneous recording, much like the first. I always thought this was there most underated record ever.

I first got this on cassette back in 1980, then on vinyl in ’81.

There was a TV commercial for a local radio station back in ’79.

I remember hearing this cool guitar riff, not knowing what song it was

or who the band was. I discovered later that it was Van Halen and that

the song was ‘Outta Love Again’.
