Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli hang with Neal Schon from Journey. This was taken in England on August 18th 1984, backstage in the massive “Monsters of Rock” festival, held at the Castle Donington Raceway in Derbyshire UK.

EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

vhrob: yeah I was amazed years ago when I took mine apart to paint the faceplate and noticed the shells were empty. On the GL bergers the faceplates are what houses all the active electronics and the neck and rear bodies are all graphite shells.Neat guitars, Rob

Are the necks graphite too? They must be super light, right?

Oh yeah the necks are also graphite. Very light guitars and also hard to play because of that. The balance is off and nothing to rest your forearm on your strumming hand. I always struggled playing mine.
