You see what I’m getting at here is extremely petty and smallminded but what happened was I just noticed it in a Frankie guitar thread and immediately recognized the photo and thought to myself this guy really takes the cake. I KNEW this pic was posted here FIRST like it says April 19th then his post over there were from August so he’s not fooling me at all the others might think it’s his pic since they thanked him and went nuts since they’d never seen it before but I knew where I saw it before.
Granted its not even at all my place to speak since it was WJ Wimflam who posted it and said he got it from Greg. But of course it goes without saying they both are probably are above petty nonsense such as this or never noticed it before or if they did didn’t care. But I’m not and am going to click his post with this link so he knows he’s not fooling me with his false claim of sharing the pic.
The way I see it this guy found the pic here then posted it over there on his own photobucket then when people commented about it he accepted praise for sharing the pic without giving proper credit to where it originated from. I find that dishonest and reprehensible worthy of a kick in the ass.
So I’m just going to post the truth.
I’ve never posted at the Links, so it definitely wasn’t me. I don’t care about any credit either. I found the pic on Greg’s Facebook page, so he deserves more credit for finding it than me. Plus, it’s been around since 2001 according to the date on the pic, so who knows who put it out there for everyone. As a guitar player, I was excited when I saw it because it looked like Franky before the striped paint job, and I had never seen a pic like it. Anyway, I’d be much happier if people got my user name right. Ha ha.

Not sure what I’m looking at, but it’s an important picture for those of us who play guitar and like Ed. I am sure it’s probably been posted in a lot of places, if it wasn’t already. I had just never seen it before grabbing it from ffoner. FWIW, jimi is the man when it comes to pics of Ed’s guitars and knowledge of the chronology.

Wolfgang Van Halen A quick doodle done by Wolfgang Van Halen back in 1998. I was babysitting him at the Hotel Como in Melbourne. I like how he signed it, “Ed’s Son.” He was 7 years old at the time. Amazing that he’s playing bass for the band now. More than that, he’s really good at it. BTW, he’s like, “Put your finger here!” Then he traced my finger. Then he layered crayon in various colors on top of it and scraped some away, leaving the black top with the other colors visible underneath. I didn’t learn to color that way. I’m guessing he went to a better elementary school than I did.
