id='q-61546'>
Having never done this myself, I don’t know how much I can add, but it seems straight-forward.
If your problem video is a separate video (chapter?) on the DVD, it should be its own VOB file on the disc.
I’d copy all the files off the DVD into a scratch folder, find the one you want to edit (VLC can play VOB files), and make note of it.
I did a google search and came up with a couple of options for replacing audio in a VOB file.
As long as you don’t change the length of anything, and your new audio is DVD compliant, it should be a straight-forward operation to re-save the VOB file with the new audio.
Then it’s just a matter of re-burning the DVD.

Some of the programs I came across in a search are AviDemux and mkvmerge, but since I don’t use them, I have no idea if they will work for your situation.

Good Luck.

Thanks, Ron. I guess what I was hoping for is some sort of software that would “import” the entire DVD that would allow me to just edit the audio and then be able to burn the updated disc. I don’t have all of the original elements to recreate the menus. I used to have a program that allowed me to copy the VIDEO_TS folder to the hard drive, open the disc within the program and make edits and then export the updated files to a new VIDEO_TS folder. I can’t remember what that program was called and I tried looking for something similar with no luck.

Voo, I have done this a few times. Without getting into a bunch of techno babble about operating systems, programs and DVD structures, would you be able to send me the VIDEO_TS folder thru drop box and I can look at it and probably fix it. There would be no video re-encoding and hopefully you could keep the original menu.<br
