I’m listening to Right Here Right Now for the first time in over 10 years.
According to Hagar, RHRN is supposedly a “Live In the Studio” album using live recordings captured in Fresno over two dates in May of 1992 as a base.
Does anyone have the original Westwood One sliver CDs that were used for broadcast in August of 1992?
Apparently, the Westwood One CDs feature the original live mix from Fresno with no/few overdubs.
There is a set of Fresno ’92 Westwood One CDs on eBay that was issued for broadcast in August in 1994.
I’m unsure if these discs feature the original live mix or the 5150 Live in the Studio version that was issued as Right Here Right now.

A few weeks ago, I listened to USA 1992 which is an Italian 2CD bootleg of the radio broadcast I’m in search of:
https://www.vhboots.com/usa1992.html
It sounded like a cassette tape captured from a compressed radio broadcast and then used for a commercial bootleg.
I can’t imagine listening to it again.
However, I would be keen on obtaining a FLAC set derived from the Westwood One Pre-FM CDs.
Please let me know if you could help me out.
Thanks!

I have that same SuperStar Concert Series set, but mine is from 1998.
#98-12 March 16, 1998

Thanks for the info Ron.
How is the sound quality compared to RHRN and the USA 1992 bootleg?

Oops, I was looking at the wrong thing. The one I have is from 1993:
#93-23 broadcast May 31, 1993
Superstar Concert Series
Van Halen – Fresno, CA – 1992

I have the same show from 2000:
#00-16 broadcast April 15-16, 2000

Thanks for the info Ron.
Would you be willing to send me one massive EAC -> FLAC file for each disc in the #93-23 broadcast May 31, 1993
Superstar Concert Series Van Halen – Fresno, CA – 1992 set?

I would properly track it and remove all of the radio station spots.
Please let me know.

Thank you.

I have it, and I prefer it over the polished “L:RHRN”.

Your wish is my command

Thanks Ron. Much appreciated!

Howdy,

I’ve edited the Fresno Westwood One Superstar Concert Series #93-23 FLAC files which Ron kindly supplied.
The following tracks are missing compared to the USA 1992 2CD Fresno bootleg: https://www.vhboots.com/usa1992.html
MISSING:
Panama 4:18
Give To Live 6:03
Ed’s Solo 9:41

If you have a different Fresno ’92 Westwood Pre-FM CD pressing, please check the included cue sheet for the above missing tracks and let me know.

Speaking from experience, I know that the different pressings of Westwood concert Pre-FM CDs have different track lists.
For example, it required 3 different Guns N’ Roses Ritz NYC 1988 Westwood One CDs to stitch together the entire 70 minute setlist for a fan made DVD release of the show back in 2014.

Ideally, we would work together to stitch together a complete Fresno ’92 setlist using different Pre-FM discs. This would in turn. render Right Here Right Now, and the poor sounding USA 1992 2CD bootleg obsolete.

I’m not holding my breath waiting for a Right Here Right Now Super Deluxe Edition box, featuring the original untouched live mixes from both nights in Fresno.

Pre-FM Fresno ’92 – Current track list:
[01] Poundcake (5:25)
[02] Judgement Day (4:50)
[03] Spanked (5:04)
[04] When It’s Love (5:33)
[05] Man On A Mission (4:49)
[06] Right Now (6:13)
[07] Why Can’t This Be Love (3:54)
[08] Finish What Ya Started (5:52)

Upon closer inspection of the Fresno 1992 Van Halen Superstar Concert Westwood One Radio Show # 94-32 with Cues (2CD) set on eBay, it DOES include Panama and Give To Live, while Spanked and Man On A Mission are missing.

Surely, one of the serious VH collectors in our community has this pressing?

Please scan your Fresno Pre-FM discs and get back to me.

Thanks!!

I checked the #00-16 discs, broadcast April 15-16, 2000. This is a combo show with Sammy Hagar and Van Halen sets:
Sammy Hagar – HOB Orlando, FL – September 16, 1997
Van Halen – Fresno, CA – 1992

The VH tracks are:
Poundcake
When It’s Love
Why Can’t This Be Love
Finish What Ya Started

So, no help ….

Ron, thanks for checking. I appreciate it.
Hopefully, one of the VHT regulars has the discs we need.
