By Dallen Harris – February 11, 2016 Sorry folks all the rumors you are hearing about the possibility of Sammy returning to the band for a reunion tour is not going to happen any time soon according to sources close to the band. The rumors started flying around after Sammy Tweeted Eddie a birthday wish seen here: http://twitter.com/sammyhagar/status/692049314726588416 Then like wildfire the rumors of a reunion involving Sammy Hagar spread across the web. To make it worse there was a recent interview on the Daily Bulletin talking about it from Sammy’s point of view as you can see here:

One subject Hagar is not comfortable talking about is Van Halen. When asked what he would do if the group called him to come back, he said he wasn’t sure. Hagar: “My favorite thing to say without biting my own tongue is no comment,” Hagar said. “Every time I turned around, it was a no-win situation. If I say what I feel … I would always get 50 percent of the Van Halen fans saying, ‘Right on, you rule.’ Then the haters would dog me like, ‘You’re always dogging Van Halen.’ I’m going to shut up. They get their wish. We’ll see what happens when it happens — if it happens.” Here is the deal though, it will not happen and is “not even a thought” according to promoters of Van Halen “There is no way in hell man, you think we want to go through that again, he has constantly burned the band and talked so much s$%t, thanks but no thanks. He can do his thing within his little circle (meaning Hagars new band ‘The Circle’).” They go on to tell us: “Look we understand that Hagar’s voice is stronger than David’s now but David is happy to be a part of something great and not crying over percentages or causing problems.” So there ya go folks a Hagar reunion is not looking like it will ever happen, so don’t believe the hype on social media.

I am not a big fan of the Sammy era either – but there are a lot of people who are. Some guys like girls with a little meat on their bones and some guys don’t (my dad always said he the only thing better than a girl with a little meat on her bones … was a girl with a little meat on her bones on his bone – but I digress). There have been former site members who specifically said they stopped coming to the site because of the anti-Sammy sentiments expressed here at times. So think whatever you want about Sammy, Dave (or Gary), but please be mindful that your post I quoted above is very offensive to some of the other people on the site.

mcs5150(1096) | If people are not Sammy fans etc that is up to them. However, considering the sizable fan base for Sammy-era VH, a reunion with Sammy and Mike would most likely pull in higher numbers (attendance and ticket prices) than another tour with Dave and Wolfgang.

Not concerned about what some thirty-somethings think! VAN HALEN is not VAN HALEN without Dave! Sammy sucked as a solo artist with shit not even worthy of Ted Nugent! He made VH a slightly more powerful version of Journey! Don’t get me wrong! I hated VH III just as much! By the way, I always thought Sammy’s other band should be called CHICKENSHIT! I share common ground on this! I am not going to comment any further on this…and I’m not going to be a pussy and disappear because of an ever-so-slight re-emergence of SH talks! Ed won’t have him…and that’s that! If it should come to fruition, I will wait it out in the shadows! That’ll give me a chance to catch up on ALL of the covers I still need to do…for Dave-era shows…any other versions need not apply! For the record…I had no idea that Vain delved into my territory!
