Notes: Recorded from section B in the middle of the lower pavilion. I don’t usually get in that
sweet spot at this venue, so this was a treat. I got lucky by having some empty seats on both my
left and right so I could move around whenver someone started to talk. There’s definitely some
more bass on this recording than on the opening set by George Thorogood. I didn’t notice that
much low end at the show, but the mics don’t lie.

My first ever show was Van Halen in 1986 at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. Just getting
to see half of that lineup in 2022 is quite special to me, and I hope it’s not the last time. They stayed
on stage for a few minutes at the end, and I kept that on the recording since I could still hear them
saying a few things even though it wasn’t right up on the mic directly. Enjoy!
