This may seem like an odd request but I’m just not certain where to go with it.

My brother just got back from an Alaskan cruise. He apparently took a lot of photos. He has photos of a glacier, whales, sea lions, bears and all sorts of other cool stuff. He would like to share these photo with family and friends. He told me he has like 4GB. I recommended dropbox but he said if he uses dropbox people can’t view the photos before downloading them. He wanted people to be able to view the photos and pick and choose what they want.

I’m not certain about something like photobucket or other services, things like fees and size restrictions, remember he has 4GB (I think that’s the big issue).

Anyone got any suggestions? Any suggestions would be great.

Dropbox puts the photos on a page in a thumbnail format, example: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rqyuc071evro1cs/l_CqUCZhpM
You can switch between the thumbnail view and a list view using the icons above the thumbnails.

I use Flickr and like it. Not sure what the limit is on a free account, though.

Not sure why your brother thinks you can’t view the photos before downloading them from Dropbox. From my experience, you certainly can view the photos, you don’t even need to download them.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

I use photobucket for that. I have thousands of photos on there from concerts and family events. You can create albums based on the event and you can also choose to make them public for everyone to see or password protect them so only people with the password can see them. Best of all it is free.

I think Flickr limits you to 200 pics for a free account.
