Adam Reader sat down with Van Halen’s Sammy Hagar for an inside look at Hagar’s first experience writing songs with Eddie Van Halen.

Reader visited the rock legend at Hagar’s San Francisco studio. 30 years ago this year Van Halen replaced David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar.

After that the bad would come to have one of the most successful runs in rock history with four number one albums and a record nine number one songs on the rock chart.

All VH eras to me are great as long as Ed & Al are involved there is something special in the music they create & now days with Wolf there is a added dynamic.
