Saw them the night before Van Halen in Vegas back in 2012. Great throwback band. Awesome live performance and a hilarious live show!

They turned “La Bamba” into “Give Her the Shocker”. The first time through, they used Dave’s Spanish version of “Goin’ Crazy” (Vuelto loco). HAHAHA!!

WTF is up with JTT? “You have reached your download limit. You will be able to download again on 01.01.70 at 07:00 PM.” Seriously? I haven’t used JTT in years, since it wasn’t even functioning and now when I try to use it this is what I get. I am able to login with my user name, but when I search my username it doesn’t show up in the list.

I just tried explaining Steel Panther to a co-worker. But they are kind of hard to describe to someone who has never heard of them. They are kind of a joke … but they are very talented musicians and write really funny and entertaining songs. Big Hair ’80s metal is supposed to be all about getting layed and putting on “the look” – but probably half of what they do is homophobic, slap stick humor and the bass player makes a big joke out of “the look.”

I go back and forth on SP. I love listening to them do covers, especially VH. But their own stuff gets embarrassing after a minute or two. I get the sendup thing, but for some reason, it just doesn’t translate with me. It’s not that I’m taking it seriously at all; the schtick just gets old for me. However, I’m not so far gone that I can’t appreciate the titty flash

I know exactly what you mean. It’s one of those things that’s really enjoyable as long as you don’t over do it. Like going to the circus (or for some of us – the titty bar) more than once a year.

Wait, you can over do a titty bar? That sounds like something my ex wife would say!

Lance and Gilligan can maybe appreciate this. Several years ago, I went on a business trip from Japan to Honolulu for a week. As it turned out, what was supposed to be a full week of work, really only amounted to a day and half. As odd luck would have it, that week was “Golden Week” in Japan. That’s a week when four of the weekdays are holidays and thousands of Japanese flock to Hawaii for a nice long vacation. Because of this, I couldn’t reschedule my flight … and had to “suffer” through what basically amounted to an all-expenses payed vacation in Hawaii. I had a nice hotel room, rental car, and got per diem to cover my meals. Another guy I was traveling with said he knew of a really great titty bar in Honolulu, and since we didn’t have to be at work the next day, we headed on over there. I found this out later – but because the place was packed to the gills (mainly due to all the Japanese tourists), the club owner brought in the A-list line-up of girls. There were probably 30-35 girls there and the least desirable looking girl was still, by almost any standard, smoking hot. I had been to a couple of redneck titty bars down south and to a couple of Mexican border titty bars before – but this place was off the charts in comparison and I had a blast. When it came to decide what to do the next night – it seemed like a no-brainer – back to the titty bar!! The second time around, however, wasn’t nearly as exciting. In fact, after a few minutes, I was thinking it was kind of boring. Same girls. Same bunch of pervy drunks. The $6 admission included two tickets for drinks. After quickly drinking my two beers, I left. As BB King used to sing … the thrill was gone.

I have seen these guys live a few times in the UK and once in the USA. They always put on a great show. It would be interesting to hear what they would come up with if they wrote some serious tunes.

when u are young… its all exciting and u cant wait to go back..such new experiences.. but as u get older.. that old saying you seen one u seen them all …lol sometimes u end up watching other ppl there.. as it is alot more amusing and funny..hahaha
