This is a special edition, 2-disc collectors soundtrack of excellent, new wave pop from the 1980′s teen comedy The Wild Life, which starred Chris Penn, Lea Thompson, Eric Stoltz and more! The original LP / cassette soundtrack contained ten songs and was available briefly after the films release before going out of print in 1985. There has been no reissue, CD issue or streaming / download option for this soundtrack and it remains completely out-of-print.

Disc one contains all 10 tracks from the original issue LP soundtrack plus an additional 12 songs as heard in the film.

Disc two contains 7 remixes of songs from the film as well as 12 incidental movie score cues heard in the film as composed by Edward Van Halen.
