PT5150: Got my right now. The JB HIFI near me wasn’t getting it until next week. I called the City store near where I’m working & was there as they came out of delivery box. BEERS & VH MUSIC tonight my friends..

There is no place to buy CDs in my home town. I have to travel at least 100km (62.13 miles) away to buy a CD. I have resisted in getting it via other means as I want to support the band as I have been wanting a Roth era live CD since the 1984!

Can a mod delete the above post? This site is all about sharing VH unofficial live recordings, not stealing from the band through torrents of official releases.

Call me old school with all the digital downloads today but I still love getting the CD & looking at the photos & packaging..

What did you guys pay for for the CD in the US ?

Cost me $29.99 in Australia & that’s from a place that has good prices.

EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

Livedownloads.com is a legit site where bands officially sell their product as downloads. You can buy the live album there in formats ranging from mp3 all the way up to uncompressed 24-bit.

My bad!!! Sorry David for implying that you were advocating people steal the Tokyo live album.

I bought it for $13.99 through Amazon and it included the mp3 download to Amazon Cloud. Personally I like buying music from Amazon because every cd I’ve purchased is available through the Amazon cloud app on any device I have. It comes in handy for my 2 sons as they can listen to all of it on their phones and most recently my daughter has been listening to VH and QOTSA on her Kindle Fire. Also, Amazon does that whole price match thing and I’ll usually get a $1 or $2 credit a week later if another retailer is cheaper.

Does a 24-96 download sound that much better than a CD?

It depends on what you listen to it on.

Can’t review it just yet. I’ll be heading up to Lincoln on the 14th, so I’ll pick it up at a Best Buy there.

I will always go for the 96 24 bit because when I take the big file to cd 44.1 it has more bottom end than the cd release. With the new Zep releases, same thing. Much better sound on my down sampled cdr than the original silver cd
