That’s right Van Hagar fan. You heard it here first, on the one and only David Lee Roth Army! And as usual, the David Lee Roth Army has the breaking news first. In fact, we believe we have it before Dave himself even has it! Ed, do not shoot Kody, he’s not the one that told us!

Van Hagar is set to do a fall tour in 2017. Yes, that’s right. Van Hagar live and in concert in 2017. So, all you girls and girly boys, dust off your parachute pants, dust off your old Bic lighters, dig deep into your pockets, and get ready to hear all those sappy love songs, live in front of your naked screaming ears. Seems the Van Halen brothers figure they have bled Classic Van Halen fan dry, and now it is time to get into Van Hagar fans pockets. Oh, and as a real slap in the face to Classic Van Halen fan, Michael Anthony will be doing this tour too. If Van Hagar fan is really lucky, maybe they’ll come out with a live album and claim it is the “definitive Van Hagar”. We are also being told that this will be the last tour, and the Van Halen’s will “retire” at the end of the tour.

What about Wolfgang? Well, you all probably know he’s been working on his own album. So, he’ll reportedly be opening the show with his band!

What about ole Dave? Even though we’ve been told Ed and Dave haven’t talked since the end of the tour, we have been informed that the idea of a tour with both Roth and Hagar was floated out there, and was not well received by the Diamond one. So, since Van Hagar is going to pretend it’s 1985 again, why shouldn’t Dave do the same thing? We have no idea if they’ll be able to pull it off, or to what extent, but we’re told Diamond Dave is trying to get the EEAS band back together, and this time it won’t be for a one off gig, like the one that got shut down by the fire marshals in Los Angeles.

Last but not least, let’s hope this paves the way for the release of the album Dave and John 5 have completed, and sitting there waiting for release, as also first reported here at the David Lee Roth Army back on November 23, 2013 in this thread. Hagar was on Eddie Trunk’s XM106 The Volume show LIVE today Said he hasn’t spoken to Eddie since 2004 and was whining that Eddie didn’t wish him a Happy Birthday on Twitter.

To those already questioning the veracity of our breaking news on the Van Hagar 2017 tour, just a quick reminder:
Prior to the release of the A Different Kind of Truth album and subsequent tour in 2012, The Roth Army was given EXCLUSIVE access to photos and videos directly from David Lee Roth and his staff. In fact, initially the Army was going to be the only recipient of that exclusive material, but we strongly recommended to DLR and his staff to also provide the material to our VH online colleagues at the VH Links and the Van Halen News Desk. In addition, not only did we receive the exclusive pics and videos, but the Army, along with the Links and VHND, were provided complimentary passes to three separate private Van Halen shows, at the Cafe Wha, Henson Recording Studios and the ADKOT tour dress rehearsal at the L.A. Forum.
Fast forward to 2016 – The sources for this Van Hagar information are credible. Is it possible this won’t come to fruition? Of course! This is Van Halen we’re talking about!

If Dave was out of VH, I think the world would know about it by now. No way he would be keeping his mouth shut fr this long,….

I have been saying this would happen since the 2015 tour wrapped up. It’s the next logical step and I honestly don’t think there will be any more Van Halen music or tours with Roth. I’m bummed Mikey didn’t get to tour with Roth in the band, but you know Hagar won’t agree to do another reunion without Mikey. If they do tour, I would hope they would at least release something new, but if they’re planning on going out next year, I don’t see that happening. Dave has been talking about doing the EEAS reunion for a year, but I can’t see him being able to pull that off, honestly. As always, only time will tell.

should be an interesting way to go. As long as it doesn’t turn into a 2004 train wreck I am kind of excited. Ed looks great these days and I am sure things will be good.

I can’t imagine that Ed is back on the bottle … but stranger things have happened.

At this point, I will be glad to go see this, if nothing else to see Mikey play with the boys again. I just hope the play some “deeper” cuts like they did with Dave, maybe Wolfie can put the playlist together even if he isn’t playing? Have his band or Tremonti open?

now that Jeff has restored the Steinberger GL2T and a few other classic Edward guitars seem to have surfaced, it would be nice to see,

Wouldn’t there be outrage instead of excitement over such a reunion ?
