I have posted this show right after the show, but this is a much better representation, and a completely new transfer from the master DAT.
I had attended quite a few dates on this tour, including the previous night which was a better performance which I also taped. Due to a fight breaking out right next to me, I got bounced into and my mic cable got ripped out about 50 minutes into the show. Sammy did go all out the night before and his voice showed it this night. It’s a little rough in places. What is interesting about this recording is what the mics picked up was almost all stage sidefills, EVH stack and pretty much no PA. What the mics did pick up from the PA was the subs, which were placed under the stage about 5 feet from me. They were thumping hard which I try to minimize as much as possible. During Sammy’s solo spot you can hear him strumming the strings. I did take out most of the whooping and hollering.
