My buddy and I have a suite at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Oshkosh 2251 Westowne Ave. in Oshkosh just a few miles up the road from the show. We welcome everyone to meet there for drinks and introductions on Saturday. We’re not getting in until Friday afternoon/evening and heading down to catch Godsmack that night. Saturday is wide open. We have plenty of room for folks to gather and mingle.

Don’t know about Cali, but videotaping is restricted in Oshkosh, most likely because it’s not just a VH show. The other bands probably don’t allow it. I’m planning to just watch this show and take a few pics. No shooting for me this time.

Will we have live updates coming in?
I’ll get things from Twitter and links if I near the computer.
Enjoy, those who are going..

I wouldn’t worry about restrictions…Cheap Trick played there a couple years back…and the DVD is NIIIIIIICE!

Hell of a time!!!!!! Eddie played part of a show with his thumb bleeding , Dave sounded great , little bass , guitar duo from Wolf and Ed they were in the groove just playing as if it was a jam session for a few mins it was the best part of the show for me

Few more comments from people at links.

Pretty solid show. I am still not sure why they decided to play in the middle of WI but I’m happy they did. DLR even mentioned that it was the first time the band played an event like this one. The band had a time limit for how long they could play so I think their set list was a result of that. They did a good job of keeping the show going. As mentioned Eddie cut his thumb open at the end of the show. I don’t think it was too serious but you could see blood on the guitar and neck.

Home around 3:30am, hit the bed around 4am. Set list already posted, a couple of songs dropped, but not noticeable. Everyone feared getting a short set after what happened with all the other headliners during the week.

Show started at 11:13pm (scheduled to start at 11pm), and ended about 100 minutes later. Everyone seemed very pleased. The band sounded good.
Wolfie had bass problems, and finally ended up going to a wired setup.

During Eddie’s solo, the camera got close up to his hands, and that’s when we all saw the blood. It was his left hand, and seemed to be the thumb that was bleeding. Blood was on his hand, between his fingers, on the fretboard, and on the guitar. Nothing seemed to get done about it other than him wiping it on his pants, and occasionally shaking it and looking at it. Fortunately it was near the end of the show.

There was a Wolf/Eddie jam that was killer.

Dave sounded good, the whole band sounded good. Dave’s Dog video made a return to the lineup.

I think the biggest thing was everyone worrying about a short set due to curfew, but that didn’t happen, and everyone went home very happy.

There’s no such thing as “deployment orders”. Even if there were, those would be classified in order to keep the unit’s final destination a secret. The only “orders” a service member receives are orders indicating their next duty assignment, i.e., a transfer from one duty station (shore or ship) to their next (shore or ship).

In any event, it’s nice to see this happening for us. Wish I had known about this long in advance. One way or another, I would have made an effort to attend.
