Thanks for the kind words everybody; I’m very pleased you guys are liking it!

Unlike the 1978 compilation where the transitions between tracks were used with headphones, this 1979 compilation desperately needed some EQ work and I thank thismusicsux so much for making the songs sound richer for external audio output.

I don’t think Dropbox would ban it.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Dime banned it because it has a couple fully-disclosed lossy sources; I’ve had it on other sharing sites and they either let it go since the vast majority was lossless or they haven’t checked

I love the end of Feel Your Love Tonight where the crowd keeps clapping, so they start back up and jam for another minute. Sweet!

Great catch! I had a couple other versions that maybe sounded a little better but the additional jam at the end made this version the most unique performance of the song for the 79 tour for me so that was why I selected it for this compilation. Well done astute sleuth!

What can I say. Another amazing compilation and with stunning artwork. One request though, any chance we can get some hi-rez jpegs of the booklet.

Thanks,
Danny

Thanks a lot Danny; I have jpegs saved at the highest level from Illustrator but I don’t have a site to host them for linking here; they should be in the full torrent download; if anyone needs them or if you’d like them posted here, let me know and I’ll PM.

Also, I do have an update on this compilation; the current versions of YNG and DTNA are lossy sources but Big Jon sent me lossless versions of these so I will be re-editing the entire compilation and re-posting at some point so some track lengths may change on the artwork.

If it’s possible, maybe you could include the highest level jpegs with the re-edited comp. If that works for you, that would be awesome.
Thanks.

Hey everybody, wanted to let you know I made some important artwork and audio fixes to the 79 compilation. Definitely replace the first release with this one! You can pick it up at Dime here:

I can only imagine how difficult it must be deciding which shows to pick. If it’s half as good as the first one better undo your seatbelts. THANKS. 8)

Here I am many months later, sitting down to print out and staple together the artwork booklet. After struggling with the thickness of the booklet in the first “ReCollection”, I had purchased some thin double-sided paper to use for this project. Well, as I’m sure you’ve already guessed, it’s still too thick.

I had purchased INKPRESS MEDIA Duo Luster 280 GSM, 9.5mil.

Next up I’m going to try some HP Brochure and Flyer Glossy InkJet Paper (C6817A) which is said to be 5mil in thickness. Hopefully that’ll do the trick.

In the meantime, just like last time…I’ve got a very nice glossy booklet that I could send someone, as long as they don’t want to fit it into a jewel case.

You’ll need the grammage to be in the 160-180gsm range, gloss double sided, for a booklet. Not as easy to find if you have a inkjet printer though. The HP C6817A is 180g so that should be good to go.
