I received these cassettes in a trade back in the late ’80s. I would guess them to be 1st or 2nd generation. Show #109 of the 5150 tour, the 3rd of 4 shows and the 2nd to the last show of the tour. The band is having a great time in Sammy’s hometown. I think the show was recorded with a Sony D3. The quality is decent for the time period. A very enjoyable show to listen to. One of the longer shows of the tour.

For a 3-CD set, tracks 1-8 for disc 1, tracks 9-15 for disc 2 & tracks 16-24 for disc 3.

This show is for free trade only for anyone that wants a copy. Please keep in lossless format.

Mojo!

Am I correct understanding this is a previously uncirculated show you digitalized from analog just now?! It’s so great you took the time to do so and this VH fan really appreciates your efforts. Sending you a PM if you have a download URL. Thanks again!

It may be uncirculated in a digitized form. It was on a short list awhile back of known shows.

I may be wrong but I think the date for this recording is incorrect. On several occasions during the show Sammy talks about this being the second-to-last show from 5150, just before LWI he refers to this show being the third of the four SF shows. Therefore I think it is safe to say that this recording is from November 2 1986, not November 3. Nevertheless one great recording, with Pipeline plus a lot of cool jams (i.e. Hot For Teacher) never heard on any other tape from this tour.

You may be right. My tapes say 11-03, but i have a date of 11-02 listed on a very old

list of mine. I was under the impression that they played 4 shows, just not on consecutive

days and that the final show was on 11-04. There’s a BTO video out there that has a date

of 11-04.

Thanks mojo, this is strange indeed as all I could find for the 5150 tour was that the last show took place on November 3. I do have an old tape of this show too that was labelled November 2, received it in a trade in the late 90s but can’t remember where I got it from. Remembering is so hard, at least in my age…
