Can anyone explain to me why it’s necessary to have a 1.46 GB file size on a cassette tape transfer?

Isn’t this like taking a VHS tape and converting it to a Blu-ray disc? You can’t improve the quality by making the file size bigger.

I have no idea. I got it because it’s a different source.

I asked myself the same question, there must be a good reason.
Moreover, should it be burned on a SACD, or DVD-Audio ?

If you want to preserve the audio quality on a burned disc that you can play, I’d go with a DVD-Audio disc. Personally, I’ll keep the audio as-is that I can play digitally, and I’ll downsample the files to burn to a regular audio CD.

I also converted to regular FLAC the few high-res boots I downloaded, before burning them on CD. I assume one should have a really great audio setup to hear any difference.

Be advised that although the torrent info lists Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love as Track 16, there was no Track 16 included in the torrent download.

Ron – I followed up but I’ve heard nothing back, and at this point I don’t expect to.
In the torrent comments the uploader alluded that he would also be posting the 16 bit version, so I’m just waiting to see if that shows up complete.

We were notified two years after posting this initially that one of the tracks didn’t upload into the torrent (I believe it was “track 16″ from the original upload but not 100 percent sure).
