So, I just got a blue ray burner for Christmas. Now to find some blanks for future burning. Does anyone suggest a certain brand that seems to be good? Also, where is the best price? Looked at Best Buy and the price for a 50 pack was super expensive.

So far I’ve been using Titan brand BDR’s that are inkjet printable. I’ve gotten them from a couple of different places. Meritline usually has them for a buck each with free shipping.

It’s just like DVD-Rs ten years ago – when there were lots of burning problems because of compatibility issues between burners, authoring programs, DVD players, etc., etc. – and what worked great for one guy, might not work at all for another guy. That same situation exists now for blu-rays, but on a somewhat lesser scale. What I’m trying to say is, it ain’t like burning DVD-Rs in recent years, where there are seldom any problems because pretty much all the bugs have been worked out.

So find a blu-ray brand that works for you and run with it. But don’t be surprised if there is a hiccup or two along the way.

I’ve used a couple of different blu-ray brands and have settled on Verbatims

I had issues with discs,until I ditched my Samsung Slim Portable SE-506 external burner and got a LG Super Multi Blue BE14 external..no problems since..(yet)
