Everybody Wants Some Trailer Brings Back The 80s Experience

The first official trailer for the forthcoming film Everybody Wants Some has been released by Paramount. Just recently, a poster for the film was released that had several classic 80s tapes from artists including ZZ Top, Pink Floyd, Van Halen and many more. The movie has been directed by Boyhood director Richard Linklater.

The trailer shows 80s college life at its best. With freshman’s joining the seniors, booze, pot, chicks, the trailer has everything you would expect from a group of youngsters with a lack of responsibility and unchecked freedom. The name for the film has been taken from one of the songs from Van Halen’s 1980 album ‘Women and Children First’.

On a beautiful spring day during my freshman year at college – one of the first really nice, warm days of the year – several students were soaking it all in while sitting or laying on the grass by this river that went through the middle of the campus. Someone had a boombox and the music was blasting away. There were a bunch of ducks running around also – and since it was spring time – the males were chasing after the hens trying to get a little tail. The person with the boombox changed the tape to VH’s WACF and started playing “Everybody Wants Some.” A short while later, a male duck started chasing down a hen and she let out a loud series of squawks while streaking across the grass trying to get away. The noise drew everyone’s attention, and just as Dave was belting out, “Everybody wants some,” the male caught the hen and jumped on her back, and then as Dave continued on with, “I want some too,” the male started humping away.

The timing could not have been any better – and the way the music perfectly matched the scene playing out in front of us had everyone laughing their asses off.
