Revo11(985) | I hear you. I bought a $2800 Suhr relic’d Strat style and I’m still not sure whether I did the right thing. Plays beautifully but I feel kind of weird playing a brand new guitar that looks aged. Maybe I should have just bought a real (expensive) older guitar. Love Suhrs though. Also weird that EVH has been my favorite musician for about 35 years and I don’t own one piece of his gear. Maybe I need to re-evaluate… VAiN: I love the look of this Wolf.. Just not he $3k-$5k price tag.

Paying top dollar for something new that looks old is the exact issue I have as well… I highly recommend EVH gear.. it really is great quality. Some of the new Wolfs are killer guitars for under $1000.

Vain what would you recommend specifically? I don’t even really want to know the answer because I have too many guitars and I don’t play because I don’t have the time. But maybe now is the time to pull the trigger on some EVH. By the way, I’m a huge proponent of buying used gear if the gear is high end gear. My Mayones and one of my Suhrs were both used.

Agreed on buying high-end gear used.. I have an EVH Circles guitar and I think it’s a great player for around $800-900. The build quality is very good and the neck just feels awesome. I have a buddy who recently got one of the new import Wolfgang Standards and it plays great. Also a killer value for $500-700.
I think the Specials look great in natural… I see these going for around $1000 on Ebay
I haven’t gotten the opportunity to play through the 5150 III yet… one day…

Thanks bud, I’ll have to keep my eyes open for a deal. I have an AxeFX but I haven’t gotten around to dialing in a 5150 yet.
