I was listening to the Dweezil Zappa “Runnin with the Dweezil” podcasts and during his show with Billy Corgan, he played several isolated and instrumental tracks from Fair Warning. Anyone know if these are available somewhere? I’ve been searching all over and nothing. He played a clip of One Foot Out the Door without the fade between SAITP and no vocals. I would love to hear that whole tune along with any and all other Fair Warning tracks.

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

No, this guy’s videos were obviously edited from the master tracks to filter out vocals. Dweezil is playing isolated guitar tracks from all songs, alternate takes of some and specifically plays One Foot Out the Door right from the beginning, where on the album, it’s fading in from Sunday Afternoon and without vocals.

Example: One Foot Out the Door instrumental

I have to plug this series, too. Seriously, these guys go deep into the weeds on all things Edward. The stories and the little unheard jems are so cool to hear and it’s really touching to hear how deeply Eddie influenced and affected these guys. So far I’ve listened to Nuno (two parts), Vai (two parts), Corgan, Saraceno and Paul Gilbert. I still have Tremonti and Jennifer Batten to listen to and there are more episodes coming out in a few days including one with Satchel, Greg Howe, Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy) and James Valentine (Maroon 5). A lot of the shows focus on a specific album and they really get into the magic that is and was Edward.
