“Someone’s claiming to have unearthed a new “Classic” Van Halen video from the 1983 Diver Down Tour in Monteviedo, Uruguay and has posted a 40-second clip. He’s also claiming to have found an entire “Pro Shot” show from the 1984 Tour. If true, this would be HUGE. Let’s hope it is!!!”

That clip looks really nice. A pro shot of an ’84 show would figgin’ fantastic. I remember an interview with with one of the guys in the band (Mike Anthony maybe) that said their old manager had tons of shit taped from tours and thought it would probably come out someday.

Whoa…. was not expecting this. I’ll take any new CVH at this point. The clip looked great. It was funny to see Ed playing the double neck for their encore. Even if he broke a string on his #1, he probably had a half dozen others to choose from. wonder why he went the the double neck? This is interesting…..

I remember a thread about Montevideo that I started several years back on the old site…apparently there were 2 broadcasts of the gig on Uraguayan TV; the complete 2hr show broadcast live and an edited highlights show that I think was 60m…lets hope its the former that this guy has! Obviously the 1984 stuff sounds great too… has anyone tried to get in touch with him yet?…Fletch?…Randy? I’m assuming he’s Stateside?

Has anyone dug out their audio of Montevideo and compeared it to the 40 sec clip to see if its the same?

Exciting stuff, fingers crossed somehting will come of it!

The Uruguay stuff is old and out there as I may even have a copy of it mixed up in my uncontroled pile of DVDs laying all over the place..I think it was the edit that was circulating….Im sure Fletch may shed the light on this onre but the 84 stuff would be a nice find as 1984 stuff is really rare at moment
