Thanks for putting this together, but I don’t understand why it is letterboxed 4×3 when most of the Youtube source footage is 16×9.

guess I’m just used to making them 4×3.

for future reference which would people rather have? I just did a multi cam and the material was both so I just stuck with 4×3. Its annoying bouncing back and forth when watching

No, I don’t need one, but thanks anyway. It seems like just about everybody has an HDTV these days, and it sucks watching letterboxed stuff on a 16×9 TV with black bars around all 4 sides of the screen. The image size on a 16×9 DVD is larger than a letterboxed 4×3 DVD, so quality holds up a little better when downscaling hi-def source material to fit.

Fletch ~ 4:3 screams 2008 bro. My dick didn’t get any wider – but my TV sure did. Actually, very few people are shooting in 4:3 these days, so everything is becoming 16:9 by default.
