Didn’t Eddie say they were shooting for October, November of this year?? Still summer yet. I think it will happen in November—-you know Xmas buying season.

It does seem to have lost steam… maybe he’s finding it harder than anticipated to get label interest. The album could be a dud, or so far ahead of its time that no one gets it if you ask Ed. Or it’s in production and the media blitz kicks off soon, I hear they have the full VH PR/Media team on standby.

I won’t pretend to know anything about how the record business really works with regard to getting a label to put your CD out – but I’d think just name recognition alone would at least get some label big or small – to put it out.

with all this digital music being put out.. and actual physical cds not really moving as fast as before… i would think you could just put this out without a record deal and sell it on itunes or something ? I mean the VH’s have the $ to record and produce this thing themselves… ???

Well, I thinks it’s just matter of time, and when it’s about time, you know how VH might be not predictable

I believe Wolfie has no problems to find a record deal… a VH Record, and a Tremonti record on his shoulders speak for themselves…

It’s up to him, and EVH….They have no pressure at all…

The best thing for him to do, IMO, is release it on his own. Use the power & connections associated with the VH name and create a cool ‘experience’ – make a killer website, work the songs in there.. do cool videos – all without label or studio support. Use some of those millions you made playing MA’s bass parts. Recoup anything on the road – and stay on the road for a long, long time. Earn it.

I think the kid respects the business enough to be able to “earn it”. He also appears to have a good head on his shoulders a sense of passion for what he does. I think he’ll do alright and I think he’ll do as much as he (barring dads overbearing influence) can on his terms. I think his family name will help him…….but not to the extent or success that his dad and uncle achieved.
Just my two cents…………..

That’s from the end of 2015. I think he’s waiting until he has at least 8 more in the can. 9 albums is the sweet spot.

Yeah, the post mentions doing drum tracking at the end of the year (can we assume it’s 2015?! 2014?) and then can’t wait to get started again. Indicating not much happening in the last few months.
