drjazz: Looks reasonable, but something is wrong here. I don’t see evh tapping and then 2 months later reverting to an older solo. Doesn’t make sense, one of those dates must be wrong.

He didn’t revert. He just left out the tapping part after 6/10 until the album was in the can. You hear him tap again at the Pasadena Civic (10/15/77)
