PT5150: Ok it’s downloading now so thanks to all that helped me.

I have downloaded the program Express Burn disc Burning so once the torrent is complete do I drag or put the files into Express Burn & just burn the disc ?

Also at dime when the say for me to maintain a share ratio of 0.25 what is this & how do I do it ?

Thanks again guys…

You need to upload (seed) 1/4 of what you download. So of you download 4gb, you need to upload at least 1gb. As uploading a torrent to DIME is probably beyond you know, I suggest keep any torrents you have downloaded from DIME on your computer and have uTorrent always running.

PT5150: Yes Randy I’m onto ImgBurn now.

But checking information total file size is 3,327,499,233 bytes

DVD-R Free space is 1,379,205,120 bytes

Do I need to shrink the files for burning ?

No need to shrink the files.

A DVD hold 4.7GBs – so what I think that is telling you is that you are going to use 3,327,499,233 bytes of space on the disc – and there are still 1,379,205,120 bytes of free space on the disc.

So Pete and I just finished up a TeamViewer session and he’s now up and successfully burning with ImgBurn. TeamViewer allows you to remotely access someone else’s computer. You see the distant end computer’s desktop and can work your mouse as if it’s the distant end computer’s mouse. It’s a great little tool for showing someone in real time (even if they’re on the other side of the world) how to use a program.

So what was the problem?

I’m not really sure what was going wrong with the first few attempts. I’d chalk it up to a lack of experience. When I tried it, it worked. Pete took notes and we burned a second copy with him at the controls and it also burned successfully. So it all worked out well.

Glad that it worked out. The bigger issue will be keeping a 0.25 or above ratio at DIME!

Very true. Good news is that Free Loader Days run from Christmas to 1 January. I told Pete to grab everything in sight that he’s interested in during that week – and then leave the computer on with uTorrent running in the background.

That was very nice of you Guitard to help out Pete, not to many in this world want to help others like you have. I wish more people would take the time and help others just like you have here. Great example of how people should treat one another.

That is good timing. I would mainly focus on getting as many DVDs during this time as getting them after the freeloading days and maintaining a 0.25 rato would be very difficult indeed. .
