If thats what they call ‘remastered in HD’ then they can suck my dick. If they take the 480 transfer & upscale it to HD instead of scanning the master film in at least 4K then Ill never buy another VH release again.

I hope they include the songs they cut out of the video release. it would also be nice to hear some alternate versions they recorded the night before LWAN.

No pre-orders yet, as it hasn’t been officially announced. The video posted above was erroneously posted early.

I completely agree.

If they release this and fail to include the cut songs like, Dreams, YRGM, Good Enough etc than this is nothing more than another waste of time in my opinion.

If you are gonna do it, do it right and make it worth it

CD1 = original album (2023 remaster)

CD2 = single edits and live B-sides:
BOBW edit, Dreams edit, Love Walks In edit, WCTBL extended version, Dreams extended version
BOBW live, Rock and Roll live, Love Walks In Live

CD3 = Live at New Haven Veterans Memorial Coliseum 8/27/86.
Live show has slightly different song order than the DVD. Missing Get Up, drum solo and bass solo; Adds Good Enough and Wild Thing.

So 3 of the bonus tracks on CD2 repeat tracks on CD3?! Wow.

According to the pre-order page, the 92 minute edited New Haven show is included on the Blu-Ray.
Disappointing. If the 40th anniversary release won’t include the complete concert, we will likely never see it.

In 2012, Iron Maiden released their complete Birmingham UK 11-27-1988 Maiden England concert on DVD and 2CD for the first time.
The edited 95 minute version of the Birmingham ’88 show was released on VHS back in 1989.
It’s a shame Van Halen didn’t take this same route with the legendary Live Without A Net.

Why do you have to pay thru the nose for stupid fuken vinyl just to get the crappy upscale BD? I’m betting $$ it’s going to just be the 480 dvd upscaled to 1080. Why does VH hate the fans?! ????

It appears that the 5150 Expanded Edition 2 LP is being issued in green vinyl from Rhino while it’s standard black from the Van Halen Store.

I’m only interested in the Blu Ray, but it doesn’t look that much better than the dvd that was released years ago. No interest at all in the vinyl.

$250 Australian dollars… Yeah, no.

I plan to download the 24/96 audio and BD from Usenet in late March. I’ll buy the 5150 box set at a deep discount during the Black Friday sales.
I haven’t even opened the F–K or Balance box sets yet, which I bought when the price was right.

Swiss Transfer is an option if anyone is interested. :wink:
